What is the most commonly used phrase or question in my work day?
How are you and how can I help? What questions do you have for me.

What made you decide to choose a career in skin health?
I've had prior Dermatology experience. I'm a pretty natural person. Skin care has many modalities to achieve certain goals (whether chronic skin conditions, issues with skin cancer, or aging and the latest treatments available). I'm all about prevention (sunscreen), I've had multiple family members with psoriasis (father and grandmother) that didn't have much treatment back in the day. My father also has had Moh's surgery twice for BCC due to UV exposure. As a prior ER and Hospitalist PA-C I've seen what can happen if things aren't addressed (ie: metastatic melanoma), it can be tragic. I've been in practice for 18 years and believe Dermatology provides integration (both procedural and medical) of my prior experience into a field I will enjoy for the rest of my career.

What excites you about your career?
I think in this office I appreciate all the research that is being done to support and apply the most up to date treatments for patients. It's a privilege having the technology available to achieve patient goals.

What is the most gratifying part of your job?
Inspiring confidence in others (whether treating cancers, chronic conditions, or appearance). Working with the best and most experienced providers and working as a team in the practice.

What's my personal philosophy?
My after work philosophy; Fika (a swedish term) A moment to slow down and appreciate the good things in life
